POST 10: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

Hi everybody, I hope you’re’ well in this end of semester, in this last blog I talking about my experience with the English subject. In the first place, I talking about my experience in the blogs, I think that during of the semester I learn many things of this language and remember the things that I have forget. Also in others subjects I read and write in English for example in cognitive anthropology, in this subject the papers are only in English and the publications in Spanish are not very considered at least in this career.

Mainly to me speak in English is very hard because I don’t practice, but now in English level 4 I am aware that I learn so much because now read and write in English and I could watch movies  in different subjects and in addition I watch Russian and French movies with English subtitles. I read every comments of my classmates, but never answer yours inquisitiveness, sometimes there are comments very positives to my post, but always they is a clown that write jokes and senseless things, but perhaps appreciate to Matías LOL.

I don’t have experience teaching, but I have someone ideas for improve the class. For example watch movies in English with subtitles contribute so much in the pronunciation and help to improve the lexical. Sometimes when I surf in the internet I see many sales in alliexpress, in this website search for inexpensive wind instruments like saxophones, trumpets and clarinets. The difference between this instruments prices and the instruments that sell in Chile is very much, almost double in someone opportunities. Well, finally I finish with the blogs of English class.

Changes to my study program

Hi friends, today I talking about my curriculum map, that is the curriculum map of social anthropology. This map include two parts, the first part belong to basic cycle, this part of map is focused in areas like that basic anthropology and the most important theorists, basic archaeology and his schools, sociology, biology, etc.  But they are subjects that do not serve much for own “academic formation”, for example Linguistic in the thirst semester don’t contribute for own formation, the teacher of the subject is very inefficient, his methodology is basic and his tests are ridiculous, this teacher don’t connect his subject with the career. Principally, the majority of the subjects aren’t reflexive and the knowledge are insufficient for own formation, I think that the two last years are essential because the first years in this career don’t contribute too much.

In the curriculum map don’t including nothing in particular, the problem here are the teachers, that in his majority aren’t contemplate a critical anthropology, something that we don’t have to permit because they are teacher experts in migration, but only dedicate to making papers and treat to immigrant like a study subject and not like person. On the other hand the anthropologist’s experts in the mapuche matter, only extract knowledge’s and not contributes to mapuche cause, because only see in silence the problem and not interfere in this. Although is hard change something I this academic world because his problems only involve his greats egos. Let’s hope this change something in the future.

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

Hi friends, in this blog I talk about my supposed future postgraduate course. Although I don’t very secure of realized this because is expensive and I don’t secure if will have a stable employed, the anthropology in general is like this, sporadic employed and with short payment. First of all I interest three areas of anthropology and among them medical anthropology because board themes like socio-sanitary problems, drugs problems, alternative medication (mapuche medicine) and aging.

On the other hand I interest in environmental troubles and the issue mapuche, because the anthropologist are very cynical because they study and living many months with mapuches but not are present in the moment of conflict for support and defend the cause of mapuche. Finally the rural area in this discipline is very interesting because aboard many problematic like economy of the country in a minor scale and cover the two previous area. I will like study in other country because the universities in this country offer masters many basic and don’t generate a real contribution for our society and only prepare for a commercial field work.

Also I interested in archaeology master, because not only live of ideals and the field of archaeology in Chile is very great and receive a good payment.
In summary I think that the possibilities of this career are many for generate a great contribution.

FREEPOST

Hi fellows, in this occasion I talk about my secret hobby, to get started I want to tell you about my taste for furniture, specifically for furniture made from recycled materials. This hobby was born in my childhood, because of the times I saw my dad working on the construction of a piece of furniture or piece. I like to share tastes with my father, because thanks to this, now I know things that are very useful for my life in Santiago. The main thing I have done have been very simple shelves, tables, seats occupying the pallets, which are a very useful material when making recycled furniture. This last time I have helped a friend with her department, we have made armchairs with pallets and a coffee table with this same material. Soon I would like to go to “Persa Bio bio” to look for used instruments in poor condition in order to create a piece of furniture, a guitar or some other string instrument would suit me a lot. Apart from being a very entertaining hobby, I think this has been one of the most important and useful hobbies, apart from saving money on buying new furniture, it helps me to spend more time with my dad, because I am not from Santiago and when I travel to my house, my dad always has something to do, without more to add I leave a reference picture of my future project

My future job

Hi friends in this blog I will talk about of my expectations of my future job. Actually I studying in the fourth of Social Anthropology, I think that this career don’t accomplish my expectative of it, because I don’t will work in the academy world of anthropology because is closed word elitist and the polities public are not to my licking.

I like to have a relax job out of the city, for example the rural anthropology and medical anthropology has many subjects interesting for study, as well as I like will learn many types of martial arts, learn it from the origin of this for example the capoeira in Brazil. In addition I like will work in other countries of touristic guide.

On the other hand I like will study something in relation with the engineering under construction, because my father is a man with many experiences and knowledge he is a kinesiologist but he knows many different types of jobs like construction, alternative medicine and music. I think do one thing in the future it would be boring, so not to get bored I like. I think that learn of the alternative medicine is a very important in the context of small town like mine, generate these contributions for the community in which I live.

Change of sport and routine

Hellow friends, in this sesión i talk about rugby. This sport is very known, but not is very practiced. In Chile the rugby is consodelating in this last decade, is very important that this sport it starts toimplement in public schools, as this sport is elitist and only practiced in private schools. I known this sport this year, because i entered JGM Selection to practice a new sport.  Previously i only practice football, in fact i stay in the FACSO selection for two years, but i left her because I am not from Santiago, but from region so I travel most of the weekend, this prevented me from playing the entire football championship.

In three months i learned so much about rugby and I have also improved a lot, I like the teamwork and respect shown on the court, something very different to soccer. My position  in rugby is right wing, I am in charge of running and marking the trys, in addition to recovering the ball with a lot of speed. I hope not to injure myself to continue learning from this great sport.
